  • manages its business with the goal of preventing incidents and of controlling emissions and wastes to below harmful levels; designs, operates, and maintains facilities to this end;
  • responds quickly and effectively to incidents resulting from its operations, in cooperation with industry organizations and authorized government agencies;
  • undertakes appropriate reviews and evaluations of its operations to measure progress and to foster compliance with this policy.


Reducing and tracking our environmental impact

Jindal operations continuously reduce resources utilization, CO2 emissions and waste.

Our mission is to innovate in developing sustainable packaging:

  • Reduce utilization of resources by offering better performance with less material
  • Reduce product and food waste by extending the limits of protection along the value chain
  • Prepare for recycling or energy recovery


Jindal Group supports a science-based approach to compare and measure the environmental impact of packaging based on a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of its full life cycle, from cradle to grave.

We set goals for our plants to reduce energy and water consumption, and reduce our carbon emissions. We measure, track and report our progress.

Environment Policy

Jindal Group is committed in safeguarding of the Environment and follows a strict procedure to control Air, Water, Noise and Soil pollution. An Environmental Policy is in place, which reflects the Organization's responsibilities not only towards the environment but also the health and safety of all its employees.

The objectives of the Environmental Policy are:

  • To promote awareness amongst employees and train them in the field of Environment Management System.
  • To comply with all the applicable environmental statutes and legislation.
  • Reduce continuously Waste generation.
  • Reduce continuously the consumption of resources such as water, energy and materials.
  • Planting at least three varieties of tree per acre of unbill area (Eucalyptus, Su and Babul) in all factory locations.
  • To benchmark and upgrade our environmental performance on a regular basis.

Energy Policy

Jindal Group has drawn up its own Energy Policy which is in line with the Energy Bill passed by the Government of India.

The Jindals Energy conservation plan is based on the following:

  • Promote awareness amongst employees and train them in the field of energy management.
  • Conserve generation & distribution of electric power.
  • Efficient utilization of electric power and petroleum products.
  • Use of non-conventional sources of energy (solar/bio-gas) where ever feasible.
  • To improve continuously capacity utilization & upgrade regularly equipment's, process & technology.
  • Maximize recovery of waste heat.
